Where to find FREE Fonts and Styled Stock Photos

where to find free fonts and styled stock photos

Often times you might look at a blog, website or logo and think, “where did they get those killer fonts?”

Or you LOVE the images on their website and can’t believe these non-photographers take such beautiful images!  Chances are they didn't spend hours taking these photographs themselves, and you don't have to either.

There are many sites out there that sell fonts and images and while I’m fully for supporting these creatives, there are also the sites that offer fonts and images for, ahem, free!

Creative Market is a platform for handcrafted design content from independent creatives around the world.  Not only do they offer just fonts, but also photos, graphics, templates, and mockups.

Sign up for Creative Market and each Monday you’ll receive and email with six totally free goods for the week.  One of these free goods will be a font!  Or if you’re looking to spend a little, I suggest going to FONTS>POPULAR FONTS and choose a bundle.  Each bundle usually has around 100 fonts and is usually no more than $20.

One of my favorite places for inspiration (and free goods) is Pinterest.  To get free fonts on Pinterest, go into the search bar and type “free fonts”.  Most pins that appear will have an array of fonts they are offering.  You’ll have to click on the pin and go to the blog or website.  Sometimes you’ll be able to simply download the fonts while other times, you may have to subscribe to an email list, but hey, it’s free!

There are a few websites out there that have strictly just fonts.  I really enjoy these sites because most have a feature where you can type in the exact words you want to use the font for, and it’ll show you what this will look like.

The only drawback on these sites is that generally each font will have its own licensing terms, so whichever one catches your eye, you’ll have to remember to check the license! Most are free for personal use, but always double check.

Here are my favorite user friendly font websites:

Similar to using creative market for fonts, you can also use this resource for styled stock photos, and let me tell you from personal experience these photos are b-e-a-utiful! (Hint: This is where the photos on my website came from)

Again, sign up for creative market and receive one free stock photo in your inbox every Monday OR find a bundle of stock photos which is the best bang for your buck if you’re looking for a cohesive package!

Some stock photo websites will have different license terms for each photo and that can get tedious to go through each, so below is a list of my favorite websites with high resolution stock photos entirely free for personal and commercial use:

It is important to note that while these are all free resources, it is encouraged to give the creator credit if possible, and to confirm licensing details as they may change.

I hope these free resources will get you off and running with your business, I know they have helped me tremendous amounts!

However you need more than just free resources, you’re in the right place because I’m an expert in branding and web design!
